About Us
Soniq Windows & Doors is a lean, fast-moving company on a mission to redefine the window and door industry. We specialize in thermally broken aluminum systems and next-generation materials, pushing beyond traditional designs to deliver higher performance, cleaner aesthetics, and smarter fenestration solutions.
We’re not a legacy manufacturer—we’re building something new. That means fewer layers, faster decisions, and real ownership and contribution of success.
Position Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Engineering / Design Manager who thrives in a startup environment. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build, not just manage, owning product development from concept through production while helping shape the future of our systems, processes, and the future of the window and door industry.
You will lead engineering and design while actively contributing to product development, prototyping, and problem-solving across the business.
What You’ll Do
Lead and execute the design of new window and door systems
Take products from concept → prototype → production
Create and refine CAD models, shop drawings, and technical documentation
Work directly with the national sales team to make sure our products are leading the way in each market
Work directly with manufacturing to ensure designs are buildable and scalable
Identify and implement new materials and design innovations
Solve real-world problems quickly—design, production, or field-related
Establish and improve engineering processes in a growing company
Collaborate closely with leadership, sales, and operations (no silos here)
Balance performance, cost, and manufacturability in every design
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of engineering/design experience with windows and doors
Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar)
Experience with aluminum systems, thermal performance, or advanced materials is highly valued
Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Ability to both think strategically and execute tactically
Strong problem-solving mindset—figures things out without waiting
Prior leadership experience is helpful, but ownership mindset matters more
