Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation and a strong understanding of construction practices. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Install and replace glass in windows, doors, and other various framing according to specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to install aluminum entrances, storefront, curtain wall, windows.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to install glass partitions, glass railings, glass showers, mirrors and other types of glazing.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to install commercial door hardware.
- Read shop drawings to determine project requirements.
- Perform minor carpentry tasks as needed to support glass installations.
- Hang doors and ensure proper alignment and functionality.
- Lift heavy glass panels safely, utilizing proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- 3+ years experience in commercial glazing installation with well rounded general knowledge of glazing installations.
- Familiarity with commercial door hardware is a plus.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read shop drawings accurately.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English.
