About The Role
We are currently seeking a new member to join our Horizon-family to occupy the role of Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will assist Project Management with day-to-day project operations and activities on one or multiple projects; will effectively manage time and task oriented items; will complete material take off; will review and execute project specific submittals (product data, test reports, sample warranties, samples, etc.); will assist Project Management in issuing small scope value purchase orders; will support Project Management and Field Operations with miscellaneous data entry tasks. The Project Coordinator will be required to spend adequate amounts of time in all functional areas of the HG business (office with exposure to Project Management and Preconstruction/Sales, fabrication facility, field, testing labs, etc.)
Responsibilities Include
- Able to create and manage project submittals and shop drawings per each specific project
- Create and manage a submittal log’s for projects.
- Supports Project Management and Field Operations in most all project specific areas
- Endeavors to learn the fundamentals and practices of commercial construction and the glazing industry
- Builds effective relationships with industry contacts
- Builds effective relationships with HG client base
- Collaborates and assist Project Management weekly for collaborative status report
- Collaborates and assist Project Management on accurate monthly project financial updates; roll outs and projections
- Works with General Superintendent ensuring field operations’ needs are met
- Complete accurate and timely take-offs for material procurement
- Assists Project Management, or take the lead in managing and completing project punchlists and close out documents
- Other related duties as assigned by operations and company
- 2-5 years related experience
- Proficient in general pdf software use, Bluebeam highly valued
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, & Outlook
- Able to read construction documents (drawings and specifications)
- Able to handle multiple tasks, projects, & meet deadlines
- Timeliness and accuracy in all aspects of work
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Strong organization skills for project file management
- Possesses a thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the processes and procedures related to the project’s lifecycle
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Consistently work & lead by example
