ASSA ABLOY is a world-leader in total door opening solutions. The Americas division is responsible for North and South America and employs approximately 9,000. The Regional Business Development Manager for the Aluminum Storefront Channel will be responsible for growing ASSA ABLOY’s share in the aluminum doors and frames market. The role will be responsible for executing our go-to-market strategy and working in conjunction with the Door Security Solutions sales teams in the Northeast and Southern regions of the U.S.
The Eastern Regional Business Development Manager will report to the Director of Business Development- Glass & Aluminum Opening Solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify sales growth opportunities in both current and new Aluminum OEM channel partners in conjunction with the local Door Security Solutions sales teams.
- Meet and exceed Glass Solutions sales objectives within a defined region.
- Identify market leading glazing contractors in each territory, and work with Door Security Solutions field sales teams to develop these customers so they prefer ASSA ABLOY brand solutions.
- Identify OEM product testing and code requirements and coordinate with ASSA ABLOY product management & engineering resources on providing solutions to the channel/market.
- Introduce and present the full breadth of Door Security Solutions represented brands and product lines to the Aluminum OEM channel.
- Work with Door Security Solutions field sales offices to track and negotiate new construction projects.
- Coordinate with Glass Solutions Business Development team on projects that involve both glass and aluminum channel partners to ensure ASSA ABLOY secures project wins in their entirety.
- Work with Door Security Solutions vertical market teams to create demand for ASSA ABLOY solutions at the end-user level.
- Collaborate with Door Security Solutions architectural teams to identify, track, and position ASSA ABLOY branded products properly within construction specifications. This will also include submitting substitution requests for competitive opportunities through the architectural community to win share in division 084113 section of construction.
- Work with EMS and ISS teams to collaborate on projects that involve access control solutions on aluminum storefront openings as well as educating the aluminum storefront/ OEM channel on the ASSA ABLOY security continuum of innovative products.
- Develop buying programs and provide training on all e-commerce platforms that ASSA ABLOY offers to partners within the channel.
- Coordinate with various ASSA ABLOY marketing teams to produce marketing material targeted to the Glass and Glazing channel. Attend industry trade shows are required.
- Other duties as directed by management.
- Travel 50-75% required.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, minimum 2+ year’s business development or sales experience.
- Experience in commercial construction or commercial hardware role in glazing, aluminum storefront or glass industry is preferred.
- Strong administrative, organizational, managerial and communication skills.
- Able to work collaboratively across functional groups and produce multiple points of view and data into a streamlined action plan
- Able to effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing program
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word applications.
- Ability to read/ decipher construction documents and understand floor plans preferred.
